1 Core showcase
Meet your guide in the morning at your hotel. The tour will start at the moats of the Imperial Palace, followed by the Shinto shrine, Meiji-jingu, one of the most beautiful shrines in Tokyo. Thereafter you will be fascinated watching the panoramic view of the city from the 45th floor of Tokyo Metropolitan City Hall in Shinjuku. Lunch at a typical restaurant before visiting Senso-ji temple in Asakusa, the oldest in Tokyo. End of the tour at Ginza, the to-be-seen high-end shopping and entertainment district with many luxury and fashion boutiques.

2 Path of traditions and modernity (half day)
Meet your guide in the morning (or in the afternoon) at your hotel to visit the Shinto shrine, Meiji-jingu, one of the most beautiful shrines in Tokyo. After going through the rituals of purification, you will take a walk in Harajuku, popular quarter filled with the young and hip, and have a look around in the most avant-garde boutiques. Finally, cross the famous and the world’s biggest pedestrian scramble crossing in a sea of people in Shibuya.

3 Promenade by the Bay of Tokyo
Meet your guide in the morning at your hotel to visit Tsukiji Outer Market (retail area), which is full of hundreds of professional shops and sushi restaurants. Then a little walk to Hamarikyu Gardens, located by the sea. Enjoy a cup of green tea (matcha) in the tea house, while watching the traditional Japanese garden in contrast with the background of the ultra-modern business district of Shiodome. This promenade will end with Ginza, high-end shopping and entertainment district.
NOTES: This tour does not include the visit to the Toyosu market that opened in October, 2018.

4 Trip to Kamakura and Daibutsu (Great Buddha)
Pick-up at your hotel and morning departure by train (1h). Located by the Pacific Ocean, Kamakura is the old political center of Japan between the 13th and 14th centuries. The tour will start with Hokoku-ji temple (Zen temple famous for its bamboo forest), followed by the Shinto shrine, Tsurugaoka-Hachiman, the most important in Kamakura, which was built by the first Shogun. Lunch in a restaurant on Komachi Street before visiting Hase temple (flower temple) and the renowned Great Buddha. Return to Tokyo in the late afternoon.

5 In search of hot springs in Hakone
Embark on a discovery tour of hot springs to Hakone, 100km (60 miles) southwest of Tokyo, which has some of the most famous hot spring resorts in Japan. Pick-up at your hotel and morning departure by train (1h40-2h of route) for Hakone, then by bus up to Lake Ashi. Little stroll and lunch by the lake will be followed by the boat trip on the lake, with a vista of Mt. Fuji on a good day. We will continue our tour towards Hakone Gora Park spiced with beautiful flowers (depending on the season). Enjoy a cup of Japanese green tea (matcha) at the tea house in this Western-style garden. To conclude the search, how about taking a bath in the onsen* (hot springs)? Return to Tokyo around 8 p.m.
