  A strong cold air mass is bringing snow to northern and eastern parts of Japan. On Thursday, Tokyo observed the season's first snow in November in 54 years. Sleet started to fall when the temperature was 2 degrees Celsius (35 Fahrenheit) in the early morning. Light rain was observed in the late afternoon, but we should be cautious over icy roads and in case of disruption of public transportation. An amusement park in the middle of Tokyo was almost empty. The merry laughter of children will come back this weekend.
