  July 24 marked 1 year to the opening of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. This will be the first summer Olympics since 1964 in Tokyo. The city will welcome visitors from across the world from July 24 to August 9 next year. During 17 days, thousands of athletes will compete in 339 events across 33 sports. To give people a taste of Olympic sports, a special event “One Year to Go!” was held in central Tokyo with participation of general public on Wednesday. Visitors, mainly school children, tried their hands at various sports, such as baseball, basketball, fencing, judo, etc. The venue was packed with fans, media, sponsors and officials.
